SDS-PAGE loading buffer (4X) is a concentrated sample buffer designed to prepare protein samples for SDS-PAGE analysis. It ensures proper denaturation, solubilization, and uniform migration of proteins during electrophoresis. The buffer contains SDS to disrupt secondary and tertiary structures, β-mercaptoethanol to reduce disulfide bonds, glycerol for increased sample density, Tris-HCl to maintain pH stability, and bromophenol blue as a tracking dye.
