SRB Cytotoxicity Assay Kit

The Sulforhodamine B (SRB) Assay Kit is a colorimetric assay used to measure cell viability, cytotoxicity, and cell proliferation. It works by staining the total cellular proteins with Sulforhodamine B (SRB), a pink dye that binds to basic amino acids under acidic conditions. After excess dye is removed, the bound dye is dissolved in Tris buffer, and the absorbance is measured using a microplate reader at 515 nm.
