Lipolysis Colorimetric Assay Kit

The Lipolysis Colorimetric Assay Kit is designed to quantitatively measure glycerol released during the breakdown of triglycerides (lipolysis) in cultured cells, tissues, or serum samples. Lipolysis results in the release of free fatty acids and glycerol; the kit detects glycerol through an enzymatic reaction that forms a stable colored product, measurable at OD 570 nm using a microplate reader.
